Professor Patricia O'Brien and Rachel Dickson were invited as key speakers to the Samaritans' Real Practice Forum on June 28, 2010, at Mayfield. Their presentation 'Person Centred Approaches' covered the evolution of the person centred movement and challenged the audience to consider the common myths and assumptions of person centredness. Patricia and Rachel also ran two workshops in the afternoon session, giving the 100 participants a chance to further develop their skills in problem solving and listening. Also presenting was Ric Thompson of Inclusion Works in Townsville. All three speakers were presented with a beautiful framed artwork created by individuals supported by Samaritans.
