Helen Beange

Information:
Helen Beange was the founder of the Clinic now known as the NSW Developmental Disability Health Unit (DDHU). She is a Public Health Physician, who has had a lengthy career devoted to developmental disability medicine. She was the founder of Association of Doctors in Developmental Disability (ADIDD) and one of the founders of Australian Association of Developmental Disability Medicine (AADDM). She is presently the Editor of the AADDM newsletter. She is a current tutor at the Northern Clinical School, University of Sydney, teaching 3rd medical students in the Personal and Professional Development Course (PPD). She is a member of the Disability Deaths Advisory Committee to the NSW Ombusman.
